Convert Video to GIF Online

Turn any clip into a shareable GIF. Keep it short and small — no watermark, no sign-up.

GIFs are the lingua franca of reactions, but they're inefficient: no audio, limited colors, and file sizes balloon fast. The trick to a good GIF is restraint — keep it to a few seconds, a modest width around 480px, and 10-15 frames per second. That yields a GIF that loads instantly instead of a 20 MB monster nobody waits for.

Pick your clip, dial in width and frame rate, and convert right in the browser. No uploads, and no watermark stamped across your GIF like many "free" converters add.

  2. Set max width (about 480px), frame rate (10-15 fps), and trim the length to a few seconds.
  3. Convert and download your GIF.

FAQ

Why is my GIF file so large?

Usually too many frames or too wide. Halve the frame rate or the width and the size drops dramatically — GIF size scales with pixels times frames.

Can a GIF have sound?

No — the GIF format has no audio track. If you need sound, share a short looping MP4 instead.

How long should a GIF be?

Two to five seconds is the sweet spot. Longer moments are better shared as compressed video (see the Video Compressor).
