Speech to Text
Speak into your microphone and watch your words appear live. Transcription runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Private by design: audio is processed by your browser's speech engine. Your voice never reaches our servers.
How it works
- Choose your language and press Start listening (allow microphone access when asked).
- Speak naturally — live results appear in grey, confirmed words appear in the transcript.
- Copy the transcript or download it as a .txt file.
FAQ
Which browsers support speech recognition?
Google Chrome (desktop and Android) works best. Other browsers may not support the Web Speech API at all — if yours does not, the buttons will stay disabled with an explanation.
The transcript stops after a pause. Is that normal?
Yes — browsers pause recognition during silence. This tool restarts listening automatically, so just keep talking.
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
No. Transcription happens through your browser's built-in speech engine; no audio is stored or sent to us.
